Socialization of Checklist-Based Assessment Instruments for Early Childhood Education Teachers at TABARAK Kindergarten, Delitua
Abstract
Assessment in early childhood education is conducted to monitor the development of children, providing educators with daily information about their growth and progress. Several assessment techniques are used by teachers to evaluate children's development, one of which is the checklist technique. This checklist technique can be used to assess children's daily development and includes several scales, such as BB, MB, BSH, and BSB. These scales have specific scores, with each score indicating the daily developmental progress of each child. These scores assist teachers in determining the learning outcomes of children at school. The data for this study were collected through interviews and documentation with teachers at TK Tabarak. The assessments are conducted daily during learning activities until the end of the school day. The checklist technique also aids teachers in evaluating the daily development of children, providing educators with information that can serve as a reference for assessing children's learning outcomes at the end of the semester. This activity aims to provide appropriate solutions that meet the needs of teachers in creating effective assessment instruments, which will benefit all teachers at the school. The results of this activity can be utilized by early childhood education units across the board, especially by the teachers at TK Tabarak who have been trained in developing their ability to assess children's learning outcomes according to the established assessment formats aligned with daily and weekly lesson plans.
