Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to assist teachers at Tabarak Deli Tua Kindergarten in validating children's emotions. Emotional issues are a central part of a child's life. Behaviors such as crying, screaming, and impatience are forms of emotional expression that need to be properly guided. Through this activity, it is hoped that teachers will be better equipped to handle the daily emotional challenges faced by children. This service employs lecture and simulation demonstration methods to teach how to validate children's feelings to ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate responses. The outcome of this service shows an increase in teachers' understanding of validating children's emotions. The assessment scale improved from 60% in the pre-test to 90% in the post-test. The results will be published in a Sinta 5 journal and a video uploaded on YouTube so that other kindergarten teachers can also benefit from this training.
