Sharia Based Family Financial Management: A Solution for Communities in the Midst of an Economic Downturn
Abstract
The purpose of this community service (PkM) is to improve the ability of the community of Harjo Sari II Medan Amplas in managing family finances. The problem of achieving a balance of income and daily living expenses is not determined by the amount of income but by the concept of management. One of the potential family financial management concepts that can balance income with daily living expenses is sharia based (Islamic). However, among the people of Harjo Sari II Village, socialization activities on the concept of sharia-based family financial management are still minimal so that individual insights and knowledge about sharia finance are still limited. With this PkM activity, it is expected that the ability of partners in sharia-based family financial management will increase and partners will be more motivated to implement it. Partners also increasingly understand that the concept of ZISWAF (Zakat,Infaq,Sadaqah and Waqf) has great potential to achieve blessings and prosperity in life and can help the Indonesian nation achieve SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) targets. It is also hoped that after completing the evaluation stage, partners will be wiser and able to balance family income with daily living expenses.
