Socialization of Making Liquid Bath Soap with Aloe Vera Gel Extract (Aloe vera)
Abstract
Soap is a cleaning agent to clean yourself from dirt, bacteria. The use of liquid soap is increasingly in demand because it is easy to use, and efficiently cleans dirt from the skin. Escherichia coli bacteria are gram-negative bacteria that can cause diarrhea due to E. coli bacteria entering the body through hands contaminated with the bacteria. Liquid soap is a skin cleanser that protects the skin from bacteria because it has a special formula. One of the raw materials for killing bacteria in soap preparations is aloe vera . The study aims to provide information on the use of aloe vera plant mucus as a liquid soap, create a special formula for liquid soap containing aloe vera mucus, and determine the antibacterial activity of liquid soap against Eschericia coli bacteria. The community service method is carried out through lectures and discussions. Participants are people who live around the UMN Al-Washliyah Pharmacy area. After the activity, it is expected that public knowledge about the benefits of aloe vera for body hygiene will increase, and public knowledge about how to process aloe vera so that it can be used and its benefits can be taken as bath soap will increase.
