Making a Roll On Preparation to Eliminate Body Odor from Kaffir Lime Peel Among Students Harapan University Medan

Abstract

Kaffir lime leaves contain chemical compounds which are secondary metabolites such US essential oils, steroids/ triterpenoids, tannins, flavonoids and alkaloids. The aim of this research is to determine the formulation infidel lime leaves extract (Citrus hystrix D.C.) which is made in the form of a deodorant stick preparation with good characteristics and to determine the concentration of the deodorant stick. The research carried out included collecting samples of infidel lime leaves which were taken purposively from Taluk Kuantan, Riau, made into simplicia powder and extracted using the maceration method using 96% ethanol solvents and concentrated using a rotary evaporator. The test results of the deodorant stick preparation of ethanol extract of infidel lime leaves against antiperspirant from 20 panelists, the results were different for each formulation, the formulation with the least amount of sweat on the cotton was the f4 (+) markets product formulation and the f3 formulation of the deodorant stick preparation of infidel lime leaves with concentration of 3%, where the panelists had the most sweat on the cotton, namely the blank f0 (-) formulation. The ethanol extract deodorant stick produced from infidel lime leaves meets the requirements of the pH test, melting time test, melting point test.
