Abstract

Washing your hands using soap and water is the most effective way to clean dirt on the surface of the skin, from various microorganisms and viruses, but sometimes washing your hands becomes a hassle because not all corners of the room have water and soap. Hand sanitizer is an antiseptic material in the form of a gel which is often used by many people as a practical hand washing medium. The hand sanitizer produced uses ingredients that are actually already available in some households, namely lime. However, some still use chemicals such as glycerin and hydrogen peroxide and alcohol, which makes the skin dry. The implementation method for this program is the method of transferring knowledge and training in making hand sanitizers at the UMN Al-Washliyah Pharmacy. Making hand sanitizer from lime can improve family health based on local wisdom, thereby preventing disease and becoming a business opportunity to improve the community's economy and the community around the UMN Pharmacy to adopt a clean and healthy lifestyle.
