PKM Preparing a Smart Generation with Islamic Character through a Family-Based Parenting Program at PWBI Ex. Kwala Bekala District. Medan Johor

Abstract

Character education and children's spiritual intelligence are important aspects in forming the next generation who are intelligent and have noble morals. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to prepare an intelligent generation with Islamic character through the implementation of a family-based parenting program at the Islamic Batak Wirid Association (PWBI) in Kwala Bekala Village, Medan Johor District. This activity is designed to empower parents in educating their children with a balanced approach between religious education and moral values ​​in everyday life. The methods used include socialization, training, and mentoring for parents to be more effective in carrying out their role as the first and main educators for children. This program also involves religious figures and education practitioners to provide insight and practical skills to participants. The results of this activity show an increase in parents' understanding of the importance of Islamic character education as well as an increase in the quality of interaction between parents and children. With this program, it is hoped that a young generation will be formed who are not only intellectually intelligent but also have strong personalities and are based on Islamic values, who are ready to face the challenges of the times in the future.
