Encouraging Indonesian-Thai Students to Learn English with Confidence to Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals in Technological Development
Abstract
Currently, Indonesia and Thailand EFL students encounter the lack of self-confidence in learning English. The implementation of community service through knowledge transfer activities between Indonesia and Thailand emphasizes technological development with the presence of digital platforms in order to increase students' confidence in improving their English skills, especially speaking and writing. The ease of technology results in convenience, so to enhance students' English language activities, learning should ideally integrate everyday culture with digital learning platforms. The hope is that students will be able to become educators in the future, as activities that directly involve culture and the environment will facilitate adaptation to the times and enhance critical thinking in problem-solving. The results obtained are (1) project-based learning activities, provide a positive impact on students because the products produced are a collaboration between the real world and digital platforms; (2) project activities can develop critical thinking skills by being able to present each process as a narrative and present it. (3) project activities will facilitate the writing of task portfolios up to the products created by students
